Salmon River near Salmon is clear, no ice.

The Salmon River near Salmon is clear, about 38 degrees at mid-day.  The forecasted night temperature suggested that there might be ice flowing this morning, but there was none.  I’m sure that issue is over now for the season.  Steelhead fishermen are scattered along the river now, with catch rate pretty good.  There is some inconsistency from day to day, but river conditions are good now.  Valley snow is gone, so hopefully the river will remain clear for a while.
