Couples River Trip down the Main Salmon River

Your relationship will surely grow on this trip neither of you will be the same after

This trip will change all your relationships and create space for deeper connections. Intentionally creating space to play, and nourish your connection with you partner is essential, regularly! We get so busy doing the daily life tasks it’s easy to forget how to make our relationship and partner a priority. Join me as we relax in a rejuvenating environment and learn a few tricks to navigate the conflict while while setting up that tent together! Since each couple only gets one.

Sarah’s role.

While on the river you will be supported to allow your most authentic self to surface. As the facilitator I will hold space for you and your partner to practice new ways of listening to each other and learning how to navigate the daily challenges of life with a new perspective.

How this trip came to be.

A seed was planted after my husband and I experienced the life changing benefits of a healthier relationship after we went to a Gottman Therapist for a marathon weekend in 2021 while I was pregnant with our second child. As a mental health professional I appreciated the skills and approach and started the path for training from the Gottman Institute. The Skills were not the only thing that saved my marriage, both my husband and had a deep love for the river and multi-day rafting trips. It was a place where time can pause and allow the love and joy to rise up for life, self and each other. I knew sharing the river and the Gottman skills would be as beneficial for others as it was for us. I feel deeply honored to have the opportunity to hold space for others while offering resources and support to create and and deepen your connection while enjoying  the river as well.

What will a day look like?

  • As we make our way downstream, each couple will have 4 hours of private sessions throughout the trip, and will have the opportunity to participate in campfire group sessions every evening.
  • Mid-day we will stop for lunch and have educational/ connection conversation
  • Raft for a few more hours
  • Each evening camp will get set up and then group offerings with sharing, emotional regulation practice with natures support and conversation focused on mindfulness, connection, building intimacy and normalizing the struggles people face in relationships today.
